chapter 4 question paragraph

Today Sam saw so many birds that he was thinking it must be the warbler migration. That night since the fish were not biting he found mussels and he ate those. When Sam got to the Gribley's farm he saw maple, beech, some pine, dogwoods, ash tree, and hickory trees. Sam was hungry so he went to find some food. He came up on a marsh and he found some cattails and he ate them. He said they were starchy. After he got done having a snack he found some hemlock trees.

MLK quote.

Nonviolence is not cowardly.
Nonviolence is direct action and requires
much courage. The method of resistance is
nonaggressive, but the resister is constantly
trying to persuade the oppressors that they
are wrong.

Martin Luther King Jr.

MLK for a day

I have learned a lot about Martin Luther King Jr. I have learned that his name use to be michael, but he changed it. He led people in making this country a free country, so blacks and whites don't have to go to different schools or eat in different restaurants.

He went to town to the library and asked the librarian Miss Turner about the Gribleys farm and she helped him. That night Sam ate Catfish for dinner. After he got done eating Sam wrote a letter to Bill that he had made a fire but he didn't know his last name so he couldn't send it to him. That night Sam slept on boughs and leaves.

It is December 4th or 5th Sam's not to sure, but it is cold and snowy. The purpose of him running from home is so he can find his grandpa's land. his two best friends are the weasel and the his falcon. By this point he has been living out there for about eight months. There was a snowstorm and the last time we heard of the snow storm was on the 4th of december. When Sam knew there was gonna be a snowstorm he was scared inside his tree cause he didn't know when it was gonna stop. They named the land the Gribleys folly because it was no place for a Gribley.

My side of the mountain author's preference question paragraph!

The author of My side of the mountain is Jean Craighead George, and she was taught by her father how a person might live in the wilderness. The members of his family all want to run to the mountains. The author was born and raised along the Potomac River near Washington D.C.. The author also knows how to train a falcon! He learned this skill from his brothers. His brothers were two of the first falconers in the United States. There was a twist about writing this book, the publisher refused to write this book in the beginning because they did not want to encourage kids to run away from home. Then he changed his mind cause the story is not true. The main character in this book is also the narrator to and his name is Sam Gribley.
